Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you download, install, or use Med Log (“the app”), published by LukeDev.co.uk (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Our privacy policy explains how data is handled on your device.
What Med Log is
Med Log is a personal, on-device medication log. You can record medications, schedules, and dose history (Taken or Skipped), and optionally use local reminders and a calendar trail for Taken doses.
Med Log is not a medical device and does not provide clinical advice, diagnosis, dosing instructions, or treatment decisions. It does not replace your clinician, pharmacist, patient information leaflet, or emergency services. Always follow professional medical advice for your medicines.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 18, you should only use the app with a parent or guardian’s guidance where required by law or store rules. The app is intended for personal adult use.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial personal logging, subject to these terms and any applicable App Store or Google Play terms.
You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the app except as allowed by law. You must not use the app for unlawful purposes.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of medications, schedules, and logs you enter.
- You are responsible for acting on dose reminders (or not). Missed reminders or failed notifications do not create liability for us.
- Optional calendar events are a convenience trail only. They may fail, sync elsewhere via your calendar provider, or be edited outside the app.
- Core data is stored on your device. Keep backups if you need them. Uninstalling the app or losing the device may permanently delete local data unless you have exported or backed up yourself.
Third parties
App Store and Google Play distribution, billing (if any), and device OS features (notifications, calendar) are governed by those providers’ terms and privacy policies. We do not control their services.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that logs, reminders, or calendar events will be complete, timely, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including missed doses, incorrect entries, reminder failures, calendar sync issues, data loss on your device, or reliance on the app instead of professional medical advice.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of £0 (if the app is free) or the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and availability
We may update the app or these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app without notice where reasonably necessary.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. On termination, you must stop using the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring mandatory consumer claims in your local courts where the law requires.
