Privacy policy
Med Log (“the app”) is a medication log designed to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what data is involved and how it is handled. See also the terms and conditions.
Who we are
The app is published by LukeDev.co.uk. Contact: contact@lukedev.co.uk.
Data we store
The following are stored only on your device (local SQLite and device settings). We do not operate an account system and we do not run a Med Log cloud backend for medication or dose data.
- Medications (name, strength, notes, schedules, stock if you track it)
- Dose logs (Taken / Skipped, timestamps)
- Settings such as reminders, snooze, quiet hours, and calendar sync preference
- Optional identifiers for calendar events created as a Taken trail
- Optional backup or export files you create on the device
Data we collect
For normal use we collect no personal data off your device. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no tracking of you across apps or websites. Med Log is not clinical advice and does not share data with clinicians or pharmacies.
Calendar
If you enable the calendar trail, Med Log may create short “Taken” events in a calendar you choose on the device, using the system calendar permission. Those events live in your device calendar (and any sync that calendar already uses, such as Google Calendar or iCloud on the device). Med Log does not run its own calendar server.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Med Log schedules local notifications on the device for dose times and optional snooze alerts. Notification content is generated on device and is not sent to a Med Log server.
Optional export and backup
If you export history or create a backup, the file is written on your device and shared only by you through the system share sheet. We do not receive a copy.
App stores
Distribution and any store account activity are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies. Med Log does not receive your payment card details.
Permissions
- Notifications – optional dose reminders and snooze alerts.
- Calendar – optional write of Taken events when you enable the calendar trail.
Children
Med Log is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
Because core data never leaves your device, you control it directly: edit or delete medications and logs in the app, clear calendar events you no longer want, revoke permissions in system settings, or uninstall the app to remove local data. For privacy questions, email contact@lukedev.co.uk.
UK data protection
Because dose and medication data stays on your device and is not collected by a Med Log server, we do not operate a cloud database of your logs. If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before any such change ships.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store and Play Store listings where required.
